QUETTA: Security forces have killed 15 terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij during a series of Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) conducted across Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna, according to reports.
The operations were carried out in several districts of the province, including Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki. Security forces conducted the intelligence-based raids after receiving information about the presence and activities of militants in the targeted areas.
According to details, the operations resulted in the elimination of 15 terrorists associated with the Fitna-al-Khawarij network. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants during the operations.
Security forces said the successful operations dealt a significant blow to the militant network and disrupted its operational capabilities in different parts of Balochistan. The recovery of a heavy cache of arms and ammunition also highlighted the preparedness of security forces to counter militant activities in the province.
Operation Radd-ul-Fitna is part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism and prevent militant groups from carrying out attacks across the country. Intelligence-based operations are being conducted in different areas to identify and target militant hideouts and networks.
Balochistan remains a key focus of Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts because of its challenging terrain and the presence of militant networks operating in some areas. Security agencies have continued intelligence gathering and targeted operations to prevent attacks against civilians and security personnel.
The latest action comes as security forces maintain heightened vigilance against terrorist groups and their facilitators. Authorities have reiterated their determination to pursue militants involved in violence and destabilisation.
Security forces reaffirmed that Operation Radd-ul-Fitna would continue until terrorism is eliminated from the country. They also stressed that efforts would remain focused on protecting the lives and property of citizens while dismantling militant networks and restricting their ability to operate.
The latest operations demonstrate the continued role of intelligence-led action in Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy, particularly in areas where militant groups attempt to establish or maintain their presence.
