Eight Terrorists Killed in Balochistan IBOs: ISPR
RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed eight terrorists during three intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Quetta, Nushki and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the military’s media wing, the operations targeted terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan, described by the ISPR as an Indian-sponsored proxy group.

In Quetta’s Panjpai area, security forces foiled an attempt by terrorists to establish a roadblock to disrupt local traffic. The operation resulted in the killing of five terrorists.

In a separate operation in Nushki district, security forces conducted a sanitisation operation and raided a terrorist hideout. Following an intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the hideout.

Meanwhile, security forces carried out another intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar district, where they targeted a terrorist hideout. The operation resulted in the killing of one terrorist following prompt offensive action.

The ISPR said security personnel also recovered a large quantity of explosives weighing approximately 490 kilograms during the operations.

Following the successful operations, sanitisation efforts are underway in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining terrorists and ensure security.

The military’s media wing reiterated that security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their counterterrorism operations across the country to prevent terrorist activities and dismantle networks involved in attacks.

The ISPR said the ongoing campaign is being conducted under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.

The campaign aims to eliminate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism and strengthen security across Pakistan.

Security forces have continued intelligence-based operations in different parts of Balochistan and other regions as part of efforts to counter militant threats and maintain peace.
