ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched an upgraded version of its Pak-ID mobile application, introducing advanced features aimed at simplifying identity-related processes and improving overall user experience.
The enhanced app enables Pakistani citizens to access various NADRA services more conveniently from their homes, reducing the need to visit physical centers. The new version focuses on greater efficiency, user-friendliness, and accessibility for all age groups.
Among the key improvements are real-time tracking of ID applications, facial biometric verification at the start of the application process, and the ability to view family member records without requiring biometric input. The app now also offers appointment booking at NADRA centers directly through the interface, helping to streamline in-person visits.
A major update to the user interface provides smoother navigation and a more intuitive experience, making the app easier to use. NADRA has urged all users to promptly update their app to take full advantage of these enhancements.
Reaffirming its commitment to digital innovation, NADRA emphasized its continued efforts to modernize service delivery and reduce procedural hurdles for citizens. These upgrades follow the launch of a simplified online payment system that allows applicants—both domestic and overseas—to pay document processing fees digitally.
Through the Pak-ID app, users can submit payments for identity documents like the Smart National Identity Card (SNIC), Child Registration Certificate (CRC), and Family Registration Certificate (FRC). Supported payment options include Visa and Mastercard debit/credit cards, as well as Easypaisa, JazzCash, and e-Sahulat platforms.
