ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced revised petrol and diesel prices, reducing petrol by 66 paisa per litre while increasing the diesel rate by 52 paisa per litre.
According to the latest notification, the petrol price has been fixed at Rs398.30 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now cost Rs396.24 per litre.
The revised prices will remain effective until October 12.
The adjustment provides slight relief to petrol consumers, while diesel users will face a modest increase in fuel costs. Diesel is widely used in the transport, agriculture and goods delivery sectors, making its price an important factor in transportation expenses.
Meanwhile, the government’s Petrol Relief Scheme offers discounted fuel to eligible motorcycle and Cingchi rickshaw owners.
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive a discount of Rs100 per litre on up to 20 litres of petrol per month. Owners of vehicles with engine capacities of up to 800cc can obtain discounted petrol for up to 30 litres monthly.
