ISLAMABAD: The United States Embassy in Islamabad and the US Consulates General in Lahore and Karachi have temporarily suspended visa services, cancelling all scheduled appointments through March 6.
US diplomatic officials said the decision was taken as a precautionary step in light of the prevailing security situation.
All planned visa interviews and related consular appointments during this period have been cancelled. Applicants have been advised to regularly check the official website and monitor email notifications for updates and rescheduling information.
Officials added that the situation is under continuous review and that further announcements regarding the resumption of visa services will be made once conditions stabilise.
The temporary suspension comes as several diplomatic missions operating in Pakistan adjust their routine activities due to security concerns following the recent joint military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran.
