KARACHI: A spectacular three-day high-tech gaming event, “XTREME’26,” has officially kicked off in Karachi under the banner of Aligarh Institute of Technology, offering a dynamic platform for technology enthusiasts and E Sports lovers alike.
The grand opening ceremony was graced by Junaid Buland, Chairman of the Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA), along with the Advisor to Chief Minister of Sindh as the chief guest, who formally inaugurated the event.
Distinguished attendees included Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, Chairman of the Governing Body of Aligarh Institute and Chancellor of Sir Syed University; Syed Muhammad Mohsin Kazim Naqvi, Convener of Aligarh Institute; Shahid Jamil, Principal of Aligarh Institute; and Dr. Kashif Sheikh, Chairman of the BS Department.
The esteemed guests toured various E -Sports competitions, advanced gaming setups, and cutting-edge technology exhibits showcased at the event.
Addressing the audience, Chairman STEVTA Junaid Buland emphasized that the Government of Sindh and STEVTA are fully committed to empowering young talent across all fields. He highlighted that youth are the cornerstone of a bright and prosperous Pakistan.
He further remarked that events like XTREME’26 serve as a powerful medium to engage young minds in positive activities, digital skills, and modern technological advancements.
He added that this three-day event provides an exceptional opportunity for youth to demonstrate their potential in high-tech gaming, artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital sports.
Convener Aligarh institute Syed Muhammad Mohsin Kazim Naqvi stated that “the aim of XTREME’26 is to provide young individuals with a positive, modern, and creative platform where they can fully express their talents.”
Principal Shahid Jamil noted, “We do not limit our students to academics alone; we actively create opportunities for them to excel in technology and the digital world.”
