KARACHI: The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a comprehensive traffic management plan for Saturday, 12 Rabi-ul-Awal, to facilitate smooth movement during Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions. The plan outlines diversions, closures, and alternative routes to ensure public safety and avoid congestion.

Two major processions will begin from Memon Masjid in the afternoon. The first, led by Maulana Akbar Dars, will start at 2:30 PM and conclude at Aram Bagh Masjid. The central procession, led by Maulana Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, will depart at 3:00 PM and culminate at Nishtar Park.

MA Jinnah Road will remain closed to the general public, with access granted only to vehicles displaying official permit stickers. In addition, all heavy and commercial vehicles are banned citywide for the day.

District-wise plans include Nazimabad traffic being diverted via Lasbela Chowk towards Garden, while Liaquatabad traffic can use routes through Teen Hatti and Lasbela Chowk towards Central Jail. Hassan Square traffic will be redirected via PPP Chowrangi, Kashmir Road, Society Light Signal, and Jail Flyover.

In District South, multiple diversions cover Garden Zoo, Empress Market, Burns Road, and Court Road, while District East traffic will move through Shahrah-e-Quaideen and Bahadur Yar Jang Road. Citizens are urged to follow official guidance and use designated routes.
