MANSEHRA: Heavy snowfall hit Kaghan Valley on Monday, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures and temporarily suspending traffic on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad (MNJ) Road beyond Naran towards Babusar Top.
Police said the road remained open up to Naran, but tourists were restricted from travelling further due to slippery conditions and safety concerns.
Snowfall was reported in Babusar Top, Saiful Muluk Lake, Battakundi, Basal, Lolosar Lake and Naran. Authorities advised motorists to drive cautiously and avoid speeding.
The road from Naran to Saiful Muluk Lake remained accessible to four-wheel-drive vehicles. Tourism activities are continuing, with the season expected to end in December as heavier snowfall approaches.
