KARACHI: The father of Mir Raza Ali has claimed that the individuals allegedly involved in his son’s murder were “highly professional” and deliberately lured him to a specific location before carrying out the killing.
Speaking exclusively to ARY News, Mir Raza Ali’s father said his son was aware that the people he was going to meet were more powerful than the police station, raising questions about the circumstances that led to his death.
According to the grieving father, the killing appeared to have been carefully planned. He alleged that the suspects first called Mir Raza Ali to a particular location and then executed the murder in a calculated manner.
He further said that Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho had informed the family that the investigation team had made significant progress and claimed that the case had been solved.
The family was reportedly told that police would hold a press conference within one or two days to disclose further details of the investigation. However, Mir Raza Ali’s father said there were apparent contradictions in the investigation report and questioned authorities about the discrepancies.
The family has also endured further emotional distress during the investigation. The father revealed that they agreed to have their son’s grave reopened for a second exhumation in an effort to assist authorities in establishing the facts surrounding his death.
He said the family now has greater confidence in the new investigation team formed under the supervision of SSP Aamir Farooqi. According to him, this was the first time the family felt that their concerns were being seriously addressed by investigators.
The father said the family was also taken to the crime scene as part of the investigation process, which he described as a development that provided them with some reassurance.
Despite the progress claimed by police, the family continues to demand complete transparency and justice. Mir Raza Ali’s father urged authorities to ensure that those responsible for his son’s death are identified and brought before the law.
He made an emotional appeal to investigators, saying the alleged killers should be arrested alive and held accountable through the legal process.
The family has called for the investigation to resolve all outstanding questions and establish the facts behind Mir Raza Ali’s murder.
