Pakistan is set to make history as its national eFootball team prepares for its first-ever appearance in the FIFAe Nations League, marking a major milestone in the country’s entry into FIFA’s global esports ecosystem. The participation signals a new era for competitive gaming in Pakistan, especially in football-based esports.

Pakistan will compete in the eFootball Console category, one of the three major titles featured in the tournament. The event is part of the broader FIFAe 2026 season, which includes more than 120 countries competing across various formats, culminating in the FIFAe World Cup 2026.

A six-member squad will represent Pakistan in the competition, including Talha Khan, Muhammad Omar, Muhammad Salman Khan, Ahtesham Umair, Sheri, and Kingzer. The team will be managed by Shahzaib Raza, who will oversee preparations and strategy during the tournament.

Pakistan has been placed in Group A of the Asia (East) and Oceania Zone, where it will face strong competition from countries such as Guam, Indonesia, Korea Republic, Myanmar, and Papua New Guinea. The matches are scheduled for April 15, with Pakistan set to play multiple fixtures in a single day, testing both skill and endurance.

The country’s participation was confirmed by Mohsen Gilani, president of the Pakistan Football Federation. He described the development as a crucial step toward maintaining Pakistan’s presence on the international stage and promoting esports talent nationwide.

Esports experts believe that this debut could open new opportunities for Pakistani gamers, particularly in football gaming titles, which have seen rapid global growth in recent years. The initiative is also expected to inspire young players to pursue competitive gaming professionally.

With global attention on the FIFAe Nations League, Pakistan’s entry highlights the country’s growing involvement in digital sports and its ambition to compete at the highest level.

As the tournament kicks off, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how Pakistan performs against established esports nations in this landmark debut.
