DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on Monday the schedule and venues for the 13th edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, set to be held from September 30 to November 2 across India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan will play all their group-stage matches in Sri Lanka, following the ‘fusion formula’ agreement that prevents arch-rivals Pakistan and India from playing matches in each other’s countries during ICC events for the next three years. Instead, these matches will be held at neutral venues.

The eight-team tournament venues include:

  • M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

  • ACA Stadium, Guwahati

  • Holkar Stadium, Indore

  • ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam

  • R. Premdasa Stadium, Colombo

The first semi-final, scheduled for October 29, will be held in either Guwahati or Colombo, while the second semi-final will take place in Bengaluru on October 30. The final is slated for November 2 in Bengaluru but will be moved to Colombo if Pakistan qualifies.

Participating teams include hosts India and Sri Lanka, along with Australia, Pakistan, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Bangladesh. Australia enters as the defending champion and the most successful team in the tournament’s history, having won the trophy seven times.

The Women’s World Cup 2025 promises exciting cricket action across two nations, showcasing top international talent in a well-coordinated schedule reflecting current diplomatic considerations.
