LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the revised schedule for the upcoming Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I series, with all three matches now set to be played at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from May 28 to June 1.
The series, initially planned with multiple venues under consideration, has now been centralized in Lahore to ensure better logistical coordination and player management. This change comes amid tight international schedules and a renewed focus on player safety, pitch conditions, and crowd engagement.
According to the updated fixture released by the PCB:
1st T20I – May 28
2nd T20I – May 30
3rd T20I – June 1
All matches will be night games, with play expected to begin at 7:30 PM local time under the lights, providing an exciting atmosphere for cricket fans.
The T20I series holds added importance as both teams are using it as part of their preparation for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2025, which is just around the corner. With both Pakistan and Bangladesh looking to finalize their best combinations, the series is expected to be closely contested.
Speaking on the revised schedule, a PCB spokesperson said, “We are pleased to host Bangladesh for what promises to be an exciting T20I series. Centralizing the venue in Lahore helps us ensure optimal facilities for both teams while also creating a consistent experience for fans.”
The Gaddafi Stadium, with its rich cricketing history and capacity to host more than 27,000 spectators, is expected to see high turnouts. Security arrangements, ticketing details, and broadcast plans are also being finalized and will be shared soon.
