KARACHI: In a significant move aimed at strengthening its grassroots structure, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced a series of new constituency-level appointments across Karachi. Among the key appointments, Faisal Shaikh, former President of the Peoples Students Federation (PSF) Karachi Division, has been named President of PS-129, located in District Central Karachi.
This decision comes as part of the PPP's broader restructuring strategy to reinvigorate its political presence in the city. The appointments were finalized under the leadership of PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and received formal approval from Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Faisal Shaikh, a seasoned party worker with a history of active engagement in student and grassroots politics, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the new role. He thanked Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP Sindh leadership, and the District Central team for their confidence in his leadership.

The move is seen as part of the PPP's efforts to rejuvenate its base in Karachi ahead of upcoming local and general elections. Party insiders believe that bringing dynamic young leaders like Faisal Shaikh into leadership roles will help re-energize support in key urban constituencies.
