ANKARA: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir held separate meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish Armed Forces Chief General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu during his official visit to Ankara on Tuesday.
According to the Turkish Presidency, President Erdogan received Field Marshal Munir at Ankara Airport. He was also welcomed with a Guard of Honour by a tri-services contingent of the Turkish Armed Forces.
During bilateral and delegation-level talks, General Bayraktaroğlu presented Field Marshal Munir with the Turkish Armed Forces Distinguished Service Medal in recognition of his contributions to strengthening defence ties and military cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye.
