Gold hits record high for second consecutive day in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan reached a record high for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

In the local market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs900 to close at Rs481,862. Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs413,118, reflecting a gain of Rs771 during the day.

On Monday, gold per tola had surged by Rs7,700 to reach Rs480,962, marking a significant upward trend in the precious metals market.

The international price of gold also saw a slight increase, rising by $9 to reach $4,595 per ounce, with a $20 premium applied.

Silver prices in Pakistan also edged higher, increasing by Rs180 to close at Rs9,075 per tola.

The steady rise in gold and silver prices reflects both global market trends and domestic demand for precious metals in Pakistan.
