KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Saturday, with the price of gold per tola falling by Rs2,100 to Rs450,936, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10-gram gold also decreased by Rs1,800, reaching Rs386,604. The decline in local gold prices followed a drop in international rates. Gold in the global market fell by $21 to $4,284 per ounce. On Friday, the price of gold per tola had increased by Rs4,700 to reach Rs453,036. Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded a decline in the local market. The price of silver fell by Rs60 to Rs6,903 per tola.
Market movements in international bullion prices continue to influence domestic gold rates, with fluctuations in global prices reflected in Pakistan’s local market.
