KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant rise on Monday, following the upward trend in the international market. The price of gold per tola jumped by Rs7,800, reaching Rs350,000. Meanwhile, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs6,687, settling at Rs300,068, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The surge in local gold prices comes after a decrease on Saturday, when the price per tola had dropped by Rs2,300 to Rs342,200.

Globally, gold prices also witnessed an increase. The international rate for gold was recorded at $3,316 per ounce, with a premium of $20, reflecting a rise of $76 during the day, as per the APGJSA.

In addition to gold, silver prices also saw an increase, with the price per tola reaching Rs3,425, up by Rs43.

The recent fluctuations in gold and silver prices highlight the continued volatility in both the local and international precious metals markets.
