KARACHI: Gold prices continued their downward trend in Pakistan on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs5,600 per tola following a decline in international bullion markets.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped to Rs424,136, while the rate for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs4,801 to Rs363,628.

In the international market, gold prices declined by $56 per ounce, bringing the global rate to $4,017 per ounce. Silver prices also recorded losses, with the price per tola falling Rs50 to Rs6,289, while 10 grams of silver declined Rs43 to Rs5,391.

The latest decline follows Monday’s drop of Rs3,800 per tola, extending the recent correction in domestic gold prices. Market analysts say fluctuations in international bullion prices continue to influence Pakistan’s local gold market.
