Gold rates record sharp increase in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices across Pakistan rose sharply on Friday, January 2, 2026, tracking strong gains in the global bullion market, data shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) showed.

In domestic trading, the rate of 24-karat gold per tola jumped by Rs5,700 to settle at Rs460,262. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also moved higher, gaining Rs4,887 to reach Rs394,600. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs4,480 to Rs361,729.

Silver prices followed a similar upward trend. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola rose by Rs227 to Rs7,862, while 10 grams increased by Rs195 to Rs6,740.

On the international market, gold advanced by $57 to $4,379 per ounce, while silver climbed $2.27 to $73.87 per ounce.
