Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Saturday, mirroring the upward trend in the global market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold climbed by Rs5,300, bringing the per-tola rate to Rs444,162.
The price of 10-gram gold also saw a notable increase, rising by Rs4,544 to reach Rs380,797. This surge follows two days of stability, during which the per-tola price remained unchanged at Rs438,862 on Friday.
Internationally, gold experienced a significant boost as well, gaining $53 to reach $4,218 per ounce, including a $20 premium. Precious metals overall showed strong performance, with silver prices in the local market jumping by Rs267, taking the per-tola rate to Rs5,909.
The latest rise reflects heightened global demand and shifting market sentiment, contributing to the upward trend in both domestic and international bullion rates.
