Pakistan, alongside 19 other Muslim-majority countries, has strongly condemned Israel’s intensified military aggression against Iran, which has escalated since June 13, 2025. In a joint statement issued today by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign ministers of Algeria, Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Mauritania, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Türkiye, Oman, and the UAE expressed grave concern over the rising hostilities.

The ministers denounced Israel’s attacks as violations of international law and the United Nations Charter, urging an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation. “The recent Israeli aggression against Iran poses a serious threat to the peace and stability of the entire region,” the statement noted, calling for a return to diplomatic dialogue to avoid further escalation.

Reaffirming the importance of national sovereignty and peaceful conflict resolution, the joint communiqué also advocated for the establishment of a Middle East zone free of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. The foreign ministers called on all regional states to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), aligning with global efforts to secure lasting peace.

Additionally, the statement highlighted the necessity of protecting nuclear facilities monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Any attacks on such facilities, it warned, would constitute a breach of international law and the humanitarian principles enshrined in the 1949 Geneva Conventions.

The statement reflects growing regional concern over Israel-Iran tensions and calls for immediate international action to prevent further destabilization.
