KARACHI: The Office of the Ombudsman Sindh held an awareness session at the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) to educate industrial stakeholders on the Ombudsman’s role in addressing maladministration within Sindh Government departments.
The session was led by Regional Director Mr. M. Shoaib A. Siddiqui, who briefed attendees on the functions and jurisdiction of the Ombudsman and responded to concerns raised by the participants. The event aimed to foster better understanding and cooperation between the industrial sector and government institutions. The President of KATI appreciated the initiative, calling it a positive step toward promoting transparency and good governance. To ensure effective follow-up and resolution of complaints, it was mutually agreed to establish a liaison committee.
This committee will work closely with the Ombudsman’s Regional Directorate in Korangi for prompt coordination and redressal of issues faced by the industrial community. The session concluded with a commitment to collaborative governance.
