ISLAMABAD: A high-level Saudi business delegation has explored major investment opportunities in Pakistan during a visit to the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), signaling growing interest in the country’s key economic sectors.
The delegation was led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council. The visit focused on identifying commercially viable projects and strengthening economic and business ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The SIFC facilitated meetings between the Saudi delegation, senior government officials, relevant stakeholders and representatives of Pakistan’s private sector.
During the discussions, investment prospects were examined in several priority sectors, including power, petroleum, privatisation, industries, communications and highways.
Officials also discussed Government-to-Government (G2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) investment frameworks aimed at encouraging partnerships and speeding up the implementation of potential projects.
The visit comes as Pakistan continues efforts to attract foreign investment and expand economic cooperation with strategic partners. Saudi Arabia remains an important economic partner for Pakistan, with both countries seeking to convert longstanding bilateral relations into practical investment initiatives.
The SIFC highlighted Pakistan’s diverse investment landscape and the opportunities available across multiple sectors. The council is working to facilitate foreign investors by improving coordination between government institutions and businesses.
The Saudi delegation’s engagement is expected to provide fresh momentum to bilateral investment cooperation and could pave the way for new projects and partnerships in Pakistan.
