Sindh CM, Turkish CG explore trade and investment prospects

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah met with Türkiye’s newly appointed Consul General Ergul Kadak and welcomed him on assuming his responsibilities in Karachi.

The Chief Minister emphasized the historic friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye, assuring the envoy of the Sindh government’s full support. He underlined the importance of boosting bilateral trade and investment, noting that both countries are already cooperating in this regard.

CM Shah briefed the Consul General on Sindh’s ongoing mega projects, including initiatives in road infrastructure, energy, and water supply. Highlighting Karachi’s population of over 21 million, he invited Turkish investors to explore opportunities in public transport and infrastructure development.

Consul General Kadak expressed keen interest in Turkish participation in Sindh’s development initiatives. Both sides agreed that the head of Sindh’s Investment Department would soon meet with the Consul General to advance discussions on specific investment projects.

The Turkish diplomat praised Karachi as a vibrant city with hospitable people and expressed optimism about strengthening cooperation between the two countries in trade, infrastructure, and development projects.
