KARACHI: Silver prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend, hitting new local highs amid a strong rally in global precious metals. Today, the rate of silver stands at Rs11,640 per tola, driven by international silver surpassing $111 per ounce and demand closely following gold’s momentum.
The recent rise includes a Rs212 per tola increase, pushing the 10-gram price to Rs9,979. Over the past week, silver has gained approximately 14% in PKR, outperforming several other assets and attracting investors looking for protection against economic uncertainty.
This surge reflects the wider precious metals boom, with gold maintaining near-record levels despite a slight dip today. Silver’s appeal as both a precious and industrial metal has further strengthened its market demand.
