KARACHI: Alleged drug queenpin Anmol Pinky was on Monday sent to police custody for another four days in connection with a murder case as she alleged pressure to “take names” during ongoing investigations into multiple narcotics and weapons-related cases in Karachi.
According to court proceedings, Anmol Pinky had been arrested last week from her apartment in Karachi in connection with two separate cases involving possession of narcotics and an unlicensed weapon, while authorities confirmed that multiple FIRs are already registered against her, taking the total number of active cases to at least fifteen.
On Monday, she was produced before a South Judicial Magistrate at the Judicial Complex inside Central Prison Karachi after completion of her earlier two-day physical remand in the murder case, while the court reviewed ongoing custody and investigation requests from law enforcement officials.
During the hearing, the magistrate directed investigators to ensure medical examination of the accused and ordered female police presence during interrogation, while defense counsel alleged that pressure was being exerted to implicate influential political and entertainment figures in the case.
Anmol Pinky also claimed she was subjected to torture in custody and dismissed voice recordings presented by investigators as AI-generated, while police maintained that forensic analysis of recovered narcotics and digital evidence is still underway.
The court granted an extension of physical remand till May 22, while rejecting defense objections, and directed further investigation into the alleged drug network, signaling continued legal proceedings in multiple Karachi-based criminal cases.
Prosecutors argued that forensic reports of seized substances and digital evidence are pending, while investigators continue probing the broader narcotics supply chain allegedly linked to the accused, as public interest in high-profile drug and murder cases in Karachi continues to grow amid ongoing court hearings and media attention.
