KARACHI: Alleged cocaine dealer Anmol alias “Pinky” appeared visibly distressed during her appearance before a judicial magistrate at Karachi City Court, where she repeatedly asked about a mysterious person identified only as “Baba” in the latest development of the high-profile Karachi drug case.
According to eyewitnesses present inside the courtroom, Anmol Pinky looked anxious upon arrival and continuously searched the courtroom for someone connected to “Baba.” She reportedly approached several individuals, including lawyers, and repeatedly asked whether they had been sent by him.
“Did Baba send you?” Anmol Pinky asked one lawyer during the hearing. After receiving a negative response, she appeared increasingly worried and continued looking around the courtroom.
Sources inside the court claimed the accused also attempted to use a lawyer’s mobile phone to make a call, but police officials stopped her from doing so. Throughout the hearing, she allegedly kept asking people gathered in the courtroom whether anyone had come on behalf of “Baba.”
The accused also reportedly scuffled with police personnel during her production before the court, creating tension inside the courtroom. The incident quickly became a trending topic on social media, with many users searching for updates regarding the Anmol Pinky case and the Karachi cocaine scandal.
During the hearing, Anmol Pinky claimed she had been tortured and falsely implicated in multiple narcotics cases. She alleged that police officials beat her during interrogation and forced her to name several individuals.
“I was beaten and false cases were registered against me,” she told the court. She further claimed that she had been brought from Lahore to Karachi and falsely accused in fabricated drug cases.
Anmol Pinky also alleged that narcotics were planted on her and insisted she had committed no crime. She claimed her family was being harassed and targeted by authorities during the investigation.
The case has attracted nationwide attention as law enforcement agencies continue investigating alleged drug trafficking networks operating in Karachi and other major cities of Pakistan. Further proceedings in the case are expected in the coming days.
