RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan on the occasion of Defence Day, reaffirming the nation’s enduring respect and gratitude for their supreme sacrifices. He emphasized that September 6 stands as a symbol of unity, resilience, and the unwavering spirit of the armed forces and the people of Pakistan.
General Munir stated that the sacrifices made by the martyrs will never be forgotten and remain a guiding light for future generations. He highlighted that the Pakistan Army, along with other armed forces, is committed to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and ensuring peace and stability.
Defence Day is commemorated every year to honor those who laid down their lives in the line of duty, and to renew the pledge of defending the homeland against all threats. The COAS called upon the nation to remain steadfast, united, and dedicated to Pakistan’s progress.
