Saudi Arabia extends vaccination deadline for travelers by one month

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has extended the deadline for mandatory vaccination of passengers travelling to the kingdom by one month.

Following the extension, verification of vaccination certificates for Umrah pilgrims and other passengers departing for Saudi Arabia from Karachi Airport will begin at 10:00 am on November 20.

The deadline was initially set for October 15, after which passengers would not be allowed to travel without the required vaccination certificate under the mandatory vaccination policy.

According to an official circular, vaccination services were being provided around the clock at the government dispensary located at Karachi Airport. Travellers were required to receive the vaccination at least 10 days before their departure.

The vaccination facility was also available on an emergency basis in the airport’s departure lounge to accommodate pilgrims and other passengers travelling from remote areas.

Passengers planning to travel to Saudi Arabia have been advised to ensure they meet the vaccination requirements before departure.
