Fatima Sana, captain of the Pakistan women's national cricket team, has expressed strong confidence ahead of the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup, saying the team is fully prepared for the global tournament.

Speaking to the media at the conclusion of the training camp in Lahore, the 24-year-old skipper said the squad is focusing on overall performance rather than targeting a single match. She added that the players have shown consistent improvement over the last few months, giving the team a positive outlook before the major event.

Fatima Sana stated that the Pakistan women’s cricket team has been carefully analyzing every opponent and working on all areas of the game. While acknowledging the excitement surrounding the India-Pakistan clash, she stressed that the squad’s priority is to maintain consistency throughout the tournament.

The young captain said the players are highly motivated to deliver a much stronger performance than their previous Women’s T20 World Cup campaign. According to her, recent international performances have boosted the confidence of several young cricketers in the squad.

On her personal preparations, Fatima Sana revealed that she has been focusing on aggressive batting and power hitting during the Lahore camp. She also praised former Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz for helping her improve her bowling skills and match strategies.

The Pakistan captain emphasized that team success is more important than personal milestones or records. She said her only aim is to help Pakistan win matches and compete strongly against the world’s best teams.

Fatima Sana further explained that the coaching staff has prepared players for high-pressure situations by introducing different tactical plans and match scenarios during training sessions. She admitted that experienced batter Sidra Ameen will be missed but expressed confidence in the current squad’s depth and talent.

Looking ahead to the tournament, Fatima Sana said her target is to guide Pakistan into the semifinals and establish the team among the top sides in women’s cricket. She added that Pakistan will continue playing fearless cricket regardless of the opposition, including strong teams like India and Australia.
