TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to visit Pakistan on July 26, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei. Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, Baqaei emphasized that the visit highlights the importance Iran places on its relationship with Pakistan. He described the bilateral ties as deeply rooted in shared history, culture, religion, and mutual respect.

Baqaei noted that diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Islamabad has grown stronger, especially following recent hostile actions by Israel and the United States against Iran.

In related developments, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni had a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. Momeni expressed condolences over the recent flood-related casualties and property losses in Pakistan. He reaffirmed Iran’s solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time and offered full support and aid for the flood-affected communities.

Both ministers also discussed President Pezeshkian’s upcoming visit. Minister Momeni appreciated Naqvi’s recent visit to Iran, while Naqvi expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to welcome the Iranian president, highlighting the strengthening of ties between the two nations through high-level engagements.
