The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Securities Authority announced the killing of Hamas co-founder Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa in an airstrike carried out on Friday in the Sabra area of Gaza City.

According to Israeli authorities, Al-Issa was a senior commander in Hamas' military wing and played a key role in overseeing combat support operations. He also served on Hamas' General Security Council and was considered one of the last remaining top-level leaders of the group inside Gaza.

The IDF stated that Al-Issa was crucial in developing Hamas' military infrastructure and training programs. He is also believed to have played a role in organizing the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, in which over 1,200 Israelis were killed and more than 250 abducted. Currently, around 50 hostages are still believed to be held in Gaza, with 28 presumed dead.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry reports that the death toll in Gaza has reached 56,412, with 133,056 injured. However, Israeli newspaper Haaretz claims the actual death toll exceeds 100,000, citing underestimated figures from Gaza's medical authorities.

Israel’s military operations have extended beyond Gaza. In violation of the ceasefire with Lebanon, an Israeli drone strike recently killed two Lebanese civilians and wounded two others.

A new report reveals that over the past 20 months, Israel has carried out 18,000 attacks across Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, resulting in thousands of civilian casualties and significant regional instability.
