KARACHI: A Karachi court on Friday sent Anmol Pinky to jail on judicial remand in connection with more than 16 criminal cases, including narcotics and illegal weapon charges, according to reports.
Anmol alias Pinky was presented before a judicial magistrate during hearings related to multiple investigations currently underway in Karachi. After reviewing the case details, the court ordered that the accused be shifted to judicial custody while further investigations continue.
The development comes days after Anmol Pinky was arrested during a joint operation conducted by police and a civilian intelligence agency at her apartment located in Karachi’s Garden area. Authorities had registered two primary cases against her involving alleged possession of narcotics and keeping an unlicensed weapon.
According to officials, law enforcement agencies recovered evidence during the raid, which later led investigators to expand the scope of the inquiry. Sources said authorities are examining possible links between the accused and a wider international drug trafficking network.
The high-profile case took another turn earlier when Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested two suspects in Punjab in connection with the Anmol Pinky drug case. Reports suggested that the detained individuals are foreign nationals and are believed to be Nigerian citizens allegedly involved in narcotics trafficking activities in Lahore.
Investigators reportedly obtained crucial information after analysing data recovered from Anmol Pinky’s mobile phone. Officials believe the digital evidence may help uncover connections between local suspects and international drug smuggling operations.
Law enforcement agencies have intensified investigations into the case as authorities attempt to trace the network’s operations across different cities of Pakistan. Sources within the investigation team said additional arrests could take place in the coming days as more evidence is being examined.
The Anmol Pinky case has attracted significant public attention due to its alleged links with an international narcotics syndicate and the involvement of multiple law enforcement agencies, including the ANF and Karachi police.
Officials have stated that further legal proceedings will continue after completion of the ongoing investigation and forensic analysis related to the case.
