KARACHI: The Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) recently organized a seminar on Sindh Sales Tax on Services dated 13 January 2026, focusing on the new taxation scheme, Central Product Classification (CPC) adoption, and practical issues related to Sindh Sales Tax on Services. /The event was held at KTBA Bar Chambers, Karachi. 

The seminar aimed to provide insights into the latest developments in Sindh Sales Tax on Services and address concerns of the business community. Experts emphasized the significance of understanding the new taxation scheme and its implications for businesses.

The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has introduced the CPC Version 2.1, prescribing classification of services according to the United Nations' Central Product Classification. The notification, issued under Section 72B of the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act, 2011, outlines the application of CPC, including rules of interpretation and classification structure.
