Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, has urged India to adopt a mature and responsible approach to resolve the long-standing Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy, the Air Chief emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain committed to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He told graduating cadets that serving the nation is the highest honor and highlighted the sacrifices made by generations of military personnel.

He stated that Pakistan’s defence forces are highly professional, well-trained, and equipped to tackle modern security challenges. According to him, the country’s military capabilities were demonstrated during the May 2025 operations, referred to as Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. He described the response as resolute and unified, showcasing coordination between land, air, and naval forces through advanced warfare strategies.

The Air Chief said the Pakistan Air Force successfully carried out precision operations using modern technology, including real-time situational awareness and net-centric warfare systems. He added that the force maintained its tradition of responding effectively despite numerical disadvantages.

Highlighting technological advancements, he noted that Pakistan is continuing efforts toward modernization and indigenisation of defence capabilities. Several strategic projects are currently under development, which are expected to further strengthen national defence and enhance operational readiness.

Despite rising regional tensions and a volatile global environment, the Air Chief reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability in South Asia. However, he stressed that the country retains full capability to respond decisively to any aggression.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent diplomatic, political, and moral support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling for a peaceful resolution of the dispute. He concluded by expressing hope that dialogue and constructive engagement would pave the way for lasting regional peace.
