ISLAMABAD: In a strong and swift response to India's midnight missile strikes, Pakistan not only shot down two Indian fighter jets but also successfully targeted and destroyed the Indian brigadier’s headquarters, according to security sources. The precision strike was part of Pakistan’s broader retaliatory operation aimed at sending a clear message that any act of aggression would be met with decisive force. Military officials stated that the action was carefully calculated to avoid civilian casualties while delivering a powerful blow to Indian military infrastructure.
Quoting security sources, PTV stated: “Pakistani forces are giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression. According to initial reports, the Pakistan Air Force has shot down two enemy aircraft. All Pakistani Air Force aircraft are safe. Pakistan armed forces are giving a befitting reply to the enemy’s aggression.”
The retaliation comes after India launched what the Pakistan military described as a “cowardly and shameful” attack targeting civilian areas. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Indian strikes killed three Pakistani civilians and injured 12 others.
“Some time ago, the cowardly enemy India launched air strikes on Subhanullah Mosque in Bahawalpur’s Ahmed East area, as well as in Kotli and Muzaffarabad,” DG ISPR said.
“All of our air force jets are airborne,” he added. “This cowardly and shameful attack was carried out from within India’s airspace. They were never allowed to intrude into the space of Pakistan.”
