ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has vehemently condemned recent statements made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing them as “hate-filled and violent,” which undermine diplomatic norms and threaten regional stability.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson criticized Modi’s remarks as reckless and provocative, accusing them of deliberately escalating tensions in South Asia. “Such statements violate the principles of the United Nations and are a clear attempt to incite unrest,” the spokesperson said.

Pakistan reaffirmed its resolve to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity. “Pakistan is fully capable of countering any aggression or hostile intentions,” the spokesperson asserted firmly.

Highlighting the wider implications, the spokesperson called on the international community to recognize the dangers posed by India’s inflammatory rhetoric. “Modi’s statements serve to distract from India’s ongoing attempts at changing territorial realities and the serious human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” the statement added.

The Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, cooperation, and the rule of international law. Pakistan remains an active participant in global peacekeeping missions under the United Nations and continues to combat terrorism at home and abroad.

Furthermore, the spokesperson urged India to confront the rising extremism within its borders instead of targeting Pakistan. “Peace can only be achieved through mutual respect and adherence to international norms,” the statement concluded.

Modi’s recent speech in Gujarat included direct threats aimed at Pakistan, further intensifying diplomatic tensions between the two neighbors.

Pakistan’s response underscores the fragile state of relations and the urgent need for dialogue to ensure regional peace and security.
