RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations announced on Tuesday that the Pakistan Army successfully conducted a training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II missile system as part of an operational readiness exercise.
According to the military’s media wing, the training launch was carried out by the Army Rocket Force Command to evaluate the operational capabilities and technical performance of the advanced missile system. The Fateh-II missile is equipped with modern avionics and state-of-the-art navigational technology designed to improve precision, targeting accuracy, and battlefield survivability.
The ISPR said the exercise was aimed at training troops, validating key technical parameters, and assessing the performance of multiple sub-systems integrated into the missile platform. Officials stated that the successful launch reflects Pakistan’s growing indigenous defense production capabilities and advancements in missile technology.
The launch event was witnessed by senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command, and the Pakistan Army, along with scientists and engineers associated with the country’s strategic organizations. Military officials praised the successful execution of the exercise and commended the teams involved in the development and testing process.
The Fateh missile series is considered an important part of Pakistan’s modern defense strategy, focusing on precision strike capability and enhanced operational effectiveness. Defense experts say the missile system has been developed to meet evolving security challenges while strengthening the country’s conventional deterrence capabilities.
Pakistan’s civilian and military leadership also appreciated the successful training launch. According to ISPR, the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, the Chief of Defence Forces, and service chiefs congratulated the scientists, engineers, and military personnel who contributed to the successful test.
The latest missile exercise comes shortly after the Pakistan Navy conducted a successful test-fire of the Taimoor cruise missile, highlighting continued progress in the country’s strategic defense programs. Security analysts believe these developments demonstrate Pakistan’s focus on indigenous military technology and defense preparedness amid regional security concerns.
The Fateh-II missile launch has drawn attention from defense observers across the region, with experts noting the increasing importance of advanced missile systems in modern warfare and national security planning. Pakistan continues to emphasize the modernization of its armed forces through locally developed defense technologies.
