KARACHI: The Pakistan women’s cricket team kicked off a five-day pre-series training camp on Tuesday at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi. The camp is part of their final preparations ahead of the upcoming Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Ireland.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the camp, supervised by head coach Mohammad Wasim, will run until August 2. The training will focus on enhancing key skills in batting, bowling, and fielding to ensure the team is match-ready.

As part of the preparations, players will participate in intra-squad T20 practice matches to simulate game conditions and refine strategies before departing for Dublin on August 3.

This camp follows a 27-day conditioning program held earlier this month, making it the last phase of their rigorous training. The national squad, revealed last week by the PCB, comprises 15 players, with all-rounder Fatima Sana continuing her role as captain.

The series against Ireland is seen as a crucial opportunity for the team to build momentum and gain international exposure ahead of future tournaments. The PCB emphasized its commitment to supporting women’s cricket and developing talent to compete at the highest levels.
