ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a one-day official visit, where he was received by Abu Dhabi’s Deputy Ruler and National Security Adviser, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Accompanying the premier are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the PM Tariq Fatemi.

According to the Foreign Office, the visit reflects the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE, grounded in mutual trust, shared values, and wide-ranging cooperation. PM Shehbaz is scheduled to hold important meetings with UAE leadership, including a bilateral discussion with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

These high-level talks will cover bilateral ties, regional issues, and global developments of mutual concern. The visit aims to strengthen economic partnerships, enhance collaboration in key sectors, and explore new areas of cooperation.

Earlier this year, Sheikh Mohamed visited Pakistan, where both leaders discussed enhancing economic, political, and cultural links. They highlighted shared priorities such as regional peace, climate action, and economic development, with a focus on cooperation in mining, agriculture, and minerals.

PM Shehbaz thanked the UAE for its consistent support, particularly in humanitarian and development efforts, reaffirming a shared vision for regional progress.
