RIYADH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday to attend the Ninth Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9), being held in Riyadh from October 27 to 29 at the invitation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
According to official sources, Shehbaz is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, senior cabinet members, and top officials.
The high-profile forum, themed *“The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,”* brings together world leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss innovation, sustainability, and global economic trends.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz will hold meetings with Saudi leadership to strengthen bilateral ties in trade, investment, energy, and human resource development. Regional and international issues of mutual concern are also expected to come under discussion.
On the sidelines of the conference, the premier will engage with global investors and heads of international organisations to highlight Pakistan’s economic potential and ongoing reforms aimed at attracting foreign investment.
The Foreign Office said the visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to advancing economic diplomacy and building strategic partnerships in key sectors such as renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure under the FII’s “Think, Exchange, and Act” framework.
Officials added that Pakistan’s active participation underscores its resolve to boost international engagement and drive sustainable, long-term prosperity through enhanced global cooperation.
