RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 33 Khawarij in the Sambaza area of Zhob District during a major anti-infiltration operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Following the engagement, a thorough sanitization operation was launched in surrounding areas to clear any remaining threats.
During the continuation of this operation, forces neutralized 14 more Indian-sponsored Khawarij, bringing the total number of terrorists eliminated over the past two days to 47. Large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the slain militants.
According to ISPR, troops effectively intercepted infiltration attempts, preventing the terrorists from entering Pakistani territory. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national borders and eliminate the threat of Indian-backed terrorism.
President Asif Ali Zardari commended the courage, professionalism, and timely action of the armed forces in defending the nation, stating that the entire country stands united with them against terrorism. He affirmed that every infiltration attempt will receive a decisive response.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the bravery of the security forces, highlighting their sacrifice and dedication in foiling the infiltration attempt. He reiterated the government’s determination to completely eradicate terrorism and ensure peace and stability across the country.
The security forces remain steadfast in their mission to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and stability, vowing to continue operations until all terrorist networks are dismantled.
