QUETTA: Security forces successfully repelled 12 coordinated militant attacks across various parts of Balochistan, killing at least 58 attackers during counter-operations. In the intense clashes, 10 members of the security forces and police lost their lives, while five civilians were also martyred.
According to security officials, the assaults were launched late Friday night into early Saturday but were swiftly countered due to timely intelligence and effective response by law enforcement agencies. All attack attempts were foiled.
Officials said the militants also targeted a civilian household in Gwadar, resulting in the deaths of five members of a laborer family from Khuzdar, including a woman and three children.
Following the incidents, security forces intensified search-and-clear operations and expanded aerial surveillance in the affected regions. Authorities indicated that additional militant casualties are likely as operations continue.
Security sources further confirmed that 41 militants had been eliminated in separate actions a day earlier, bringing the total number of militants killed over the past two days to 99.
