RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 15 militants belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij in two separate intelligence-driven operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Acting on intelligence about militant presence, security personnel launched an operation in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district. Forces engaged the target site effectively, killing ten militants, including the group’s ringleader, Alam Mehsud.
In a separate intelligence-based action in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, security forces neutralized five additional militants linked to the same network.
Sanitization efforts are ongoing to clear the region of any remaining militants allegedly backed from abroad. The military reaffirmed that the ongoing counterterrorism drive under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework—approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan—will continue with full determination to eradicate foreign-supported terrorism.
Earlier, on October 24, security forces conducted a precise operation in the Wanda Sheikh Allah area of Lakki Marwat, killing eight militants affiliated with Fitna-al-Khawarij and injuring five others.
