ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is likely to visit Saudi Arabia in the coming days at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to diplomatic sources. The visit, if finalised, will mark his second trip to the Kingdom within a month, highlighting the growing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
Sources indicate that the high-level visit will focus on key regional developments, particularly the ongoing United States–Iran situation and efforts to maintain a ceasefire. Pakistan has recently played a significant role in facilitating dialogue between Washington and Tehran, and the upcoming discussions in Riyadh are expected to build on these diplomatic efforts.
The evolving security landscape in the Middle East will also be a major topic on the agenda. Both sides are expected to exchange views on de-escalation strategies and explore avenues to promote long-term regional stability. The visit comes at a crucial time when global attention remains fixed on tensions in the Gulf region.
In addition to regional matters, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are likely to review bilateral relations, including economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and financial support.
