ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, issued a stern warning to India, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty at any cost. The minister made these remarks following a visit to the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Kashmir, where he was accompanied by both local and international media. The visit aimed to provide first-hand insight into the situation in the region and counter India’s ongoing propaganda.

Tarar reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing commitment to peace, asserting that the country has consistently demonstrated its peaceful intentions through actions. He urged India to address the human rights violations taking place in its occupied Kashmir before making further accusations against Pakistan. “We are a peace-loving nation,” he stated, adding that Islamabad advocates for regional and global stability.

The primary objective of the visit was to challenge India’s false claims of terrorist camps along the LoC. India has repeatedly accused Pakistan of harboring militant groups in these areas. However, Tarar showcased the locations that India had labeled as alleged terrorist camps, revealing that these were, in fact, populated by ordinary civilians. He pointed out that India’s propaganda was designed to cover up its own internal issues and distract from the real concerns within its borders.

Tarar stressed that Pakistan is a responsible state that condemns terrorism in all its forms, irrespective of where it occurs in the world. He also reminded the international community of India’s own record in occupied Kashmir, urging the global audience to take note of the ongoing human rights abuses in the region.

The visit comes at a time when tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors are high. India recently accused Pakistan of being involved in a militant attack that killed at least 26 people in the Pahalgam area of Kashmir. Despite these accusations, Pakistan remains firm in its stance against terrorism and committed to peace in the region.
