RAWALPINDI: In a series of intelligence-based operations on Saturday, Pakistan's security forces killed 15 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, while two brave soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice in the fight against terrorism.
The operations, which took place in different districts of KP, were aimed at neutralizing terrorist threats in the region. The first operation was conducted in Karak district, where security forces targeted a location based on intelligence regarding the presence of Khwarij militants. During the operation, eight militants were killed as security forces effectively engaged the enemy.
Another major operation took place in North Waziristan district, where four militants were killed in a fierce exchange of fire with security forces. Tragically, during the confrontation, two soldiers, Lance Naik Usman Mohmand (28 years old, from Charsadda) and Sepoy Imran Khan (26 years old, from Kurram), lost their lives in the line of duty. The soldiers fought bravely, paying the ultimate price for their country and embracing shahadat (martyrdom) in the service of their nation.
In a separate operation in the Gomal Zam area of South Waziristan, security forces successfully neutralized three more militants. The soldiers recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists, who were reportedly involved in various acts of terrorism in the region.
