In the wake of Indian military strikes on Pakistani territory that left at least eight civilians dead and 35 others injured, political leaders from across Pakistan have come together in a rare display of unity to voice their support for the armed forces.

Despite political differences, leaders of all major parties strongly condemned the Indian aggression and expressed full solidarity with the military. The strikes, which hit several locations in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, have drawn international concern, with U.S. President Donald Trump calling the attack “a shame” and China voicing regret over India’s actions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a post on X, called the Indian attack a cowardly and treacherous act. He warned that the aggression would not go unpunished and affirmed Pakistan’s right to respond decisively, noting that a “resolute response is already underway.” He reiterated that the nation stands united behind its armed forces and remains determined in the face of provocation.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari described the strikes on civilian areas, including Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad, as acts of war. He condemned the targeting of innocent women and children and pledged that every act of aggression would be firmly repelled.
