RAWALPINDI: Pakistani security forces successfully neutralized 33 terrorists attempting to infiltrate the country from across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The incident occurred during the night between August 7 and 8, 2025, in the Sambaza area of Zhob District, Balochistan.
ISPR reported that a large group of terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group “Fitna al-Khawarij” was detected as it tried to cross the border. Swift and precise action by Pakistan Army troops effectively foiled the infiltration attempt. In the ensuing engagement, 33 militants were eliminated, and a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered.
The military’s media wing confirmed that a sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining elements. The statement emphasized the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to protect the nation’s frontiers and eliminate terrorism, particularly Indian-sponsored activities, from its soil.
This development follows an earlier operation on June 3, 2025, when seven terrorists belonging to “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed during two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan. In Machh’s Kachhi area, five militants were eliminated during a fierce gunfight, while two more were neutralized in Kalat.
These repeated actions highlight Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to counter cross-border terrorism and reinforce its commitment to national security and regional stability.
