KARACHI: Fresh developments have emerged in the ongoing investigation against alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky, as she made serious allegations regarding an alleged bribery network involving law enforcement officials and associates of her former husband.
According to investigation sources, Anmol Pinky claimed that officials repeatedly detained her brother and later facilitated his release after allegedly receiving large sums of money as bribes. She alleged that certain officials linked with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) received approximately Rs10.5 million on multiple occasions to influence proceedings and arrange releases.
The accused further claimed that her former husband, Rana Nasir, had close connections with some ANF officials, which were allegedly used to impact legal and investigative matters. These claims have intensified public attention on the high-profile Karachi drug case, widely discussed on social media and news platforms.
Officials involved in the inquiry stated that standard drug screening procedures require blood, urine, and hair samples to be sent to laboratories for analysis. The reports from these tests are considered essential in determining narcotics consumption and related findings.
Sources confirmed that Anmol Pinky’s drug test process has not yet been completed, making it impossible at this stage to confirm whether she had consumed illegal substances. Authorities have not issued an official explanation regarding the delay in sample collection, while procedural reviews remain ongoing.
Earlier during custody proceedings, the alleged “Cocaine Queen” informed authorities that she is suffering from chronic kidney disease and requested immediate medical attention. Following her request, police arranged a medical examination in Karachi, where a female police surgeon conducted her check-up.
According to sources, an initial medical report has been prepared after the examination, but officials have yet to publicly disclose the findings. The case continues to attract widespread public interest as investigators review the allegations and await laboratory reports.
